Ashley Hallene is a Land Acquisition Specialist with Demeter Land Development, a Michigan-based company focused on securing land for renewable energy projects, particularly community solar and battery storage developments.

A prolific writer and legal technology expert, she has authored or co-authored hundreds of articles on technology and law practice management. Ms. Hallene is the co-author, alongside attorney Jeffrey Allen, of several books, including Technology Tips for Seniors Volume 2.0 (2018), Technology Tips for Lawyers and other Business Professionals (2016), Technology Solutions for Today’s Lawyer (2013), and The iPad for Lawyers (2013). Their upcoming works, Unlocking the Future and Scams & Cybercrime Survival Guide, are slated for release in 2025. Ms. Hallene has published in leading publications such as GP|SOLO Magazine, Experience Magazine, Attorney at Work, and TechnoLawyer. Active in the American Bar Association, Ms. Hallene is a leader in the General Practice Solo & Small Firm Division and the Senior Lawyers Division, serving as Editor-in-Chief of GP|Solo eReport. She earned her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center and her B.S. from the University of Houston. She lives in Houston, Texas, with her husband, Jack, and family.
