Jennie Woltz has made smart, compassionate employment and labor law solutions the focus of her legal career.

Before co-founding WFPC, Jennie honed her legal expertise in private legal practice at some of New York’s most prestigious law firms. Jennie also worked in a dual legal and HR role at one of NYC’s largest children’s charities. Currently she advises clients in all areas of employment and labor law, and when necessary, advocates on their behalf in adversary proceedings. With her help, business owners and HR leaders identify, avoid, or mitigate employment-related risk.

Jennie’s experience includes leading clients through complex reductions in force. She has revamped hiring practices, drafted handbooks and corporate policies, and conducted agency-wide audits on exemption and pay practices. Jennie has designed and conducted management and employee training, and helped launch a number of HR-led strategic initiatives, including several acquisitions. She has successfully obtained dismissal of claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, failure to provide leave and failure to accommodate, and enjoined unfair competition practices, in court. And she has negotiated favorable settlements for clients in collective and class action matters involving alleged wage and hour violations, and in union arbitral disputes. Finally, she has successfully represented clients in numerous New York State Department of Labor audits and hearings on claims of suspected contractor misclassification.

Jennie is deeply committed to civic responsibility and pro bono work. Throughout her career, her public interest activities have included representing claimants in unemployment insurance hearings, advocating for women’s breastfeeding and reproductive health rights, and representing children in child protective and juvenile delinquency hearings in Family Court. Currently, she sits on the board of Wheel it Forward, a lending library for durable medical equipment located in Stamford.

Jennie regularly writes articles, and speaks publicly at legal and industry conferences. She attended Fordham University School of Law and the University of Pennsylvania, magna cum laude. Jennie is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and several federal jurisdictions.
