Johanna Schiavoni is a certified specialist in appellate law, admitted in California, New York, and federal appellate courts around the country.

Her practice at Complex Appellate Litigation Group LLP focuses on civil appeals in state and federal courts. With more than two decades of experience, she has argued more than 40 appeals and been the principal brief-writer in at least 100 appeals and writs.

Johanna clerked for Ninth Circuit Judge M. Margaret McKeown and Central District of California Judge Christina A. Snyder. She is an elected member of the California Academy of Appellate Lawyers. She served as the 2020 President of the San Diego County Bar Association and Chair of the Ninth Circuit’s Appellate Lawyer Representatives Committee.
