Lauren Scardella is a graduate of American University in Washington, DC, and Rutgers Law School in Newark, New Jersey. She has practiced exclusively in municipal court and criminal defense since 2009, with a particular focus on Driving While Intoxicated, traffic offenses, and criminal matters in New Jersey Municipal Courts.

Ms. Scardella is an experienced legal educator and has been recognized by her peers in Super Lawyers Magazine for DWI defense every year since 2023, after being named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in the same practice area from 2017 through 2021. She is a former winner of the Mercer County Bar Association’s Young Lawyer of the Year award, where she also served on the Board of Trustees for six years and chaired the Municipal and Criminal Bench Bar Committees as well as the Women Lawyers Committee.

She is the founder and sole member of The Scardella Law Firm LLC, based in Hamilton, New Jersey, and continues to operate a successful New Jersey practice remotely after relocating to Scottsdale, Arizona, in June 2025.
