About MaryAnne Hamilton

MaryAnne Hamilton is an attorney at Miller Law Group, PLLC, in Raleigh, North Carolina. She represents clients in whistleblower and retaliation, products liability/toxic tort, medical negligence, and civil rights cases. In her practice, MaryAnne combines an intense focus on the needs of her clients with an ability to distill complex issues in a way that both makes them understandable and highlights the key issues.

MaryAnne’s primary area of practice is False Claims Act whistleblower complaints. She has worked with whistleblowers in healthcare, defense contracting, pandemic-era fraud, and other areas, helping them to document their claims and shepherding them through the process of reporting fraud while protecting their rights.

Working alongside Miller Law Group Founder Stacy Miller, MaryAnne is handling claims from victims exposed to contaminated water at Camp Lejeune, as well as firefighters and military members exposed to AFFF in their work and women harmed by hair relaxers.

MaryAnne is licensed in North Carolina, South Carolina, and the District of Columbia and admitted to the bar of the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of North Carolina and the District of South Carolina, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. She has argued before the North Carolina Supreme Court and the North Carolina Court of Appeals. She is a member of the TAF Anti-Fraud Coalition, where she serves on the Public Education Committee, and serves on the Legal Affairs Committee of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice. MaryAnne has been recognized for her work by being named to SuperLawyers’ Rising Stars list for 2025.

MaryAnne developed and honed her analytical and writing skills in her previous career as a freelance editor, writer, and editorial project manager for clients in academia, business, and technology. Her authors have published in anthropology, history, landscape architecture, pharmaceutical innovation, public health, and law.

MaryAnne graduated summa cum laude from Campbell Law School. At Campbell, she participated in the moot court program, earning a Best Brief Award — from among more than 50 competitors — at the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition; served on Law Review; and worked as a research assistant to two professors. MaryAnne has an M.A. and Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a B.S. in Business Management, with a minor in Engineering, from the University of Maryland. She also served five years in the U.S. Navy.
